Internasjonal

Windsurf have compiled a video for their new track Weird Energy which is a good enough excuse to post a few tracks from Prins Thomas's excellent Internasjonal label, on which their debut album Coastlines came out last year. Can't wait to hear more from these guys, and the rest of the Internasjonal roster.

Discodromo - Cosmorama

Nick Chacona & Anthony Mansfield – Slow N Low (Redux)

Frankie Flowerz aka FFZ - Breakthebarriers (John Daly Remix)

Sally Shapiro will release her new single "Miracle" in June off her upcoming album "My Guilty Pleasure" which is to be released later in the year on Permanent Vacation. The single includes a remix from Bogdan Irkük and the album will once again feature production from Johan Agebjörn.

On the weekend I ordered Nah Und Fern, which compiles Kompakt founder Wolfgang Voigt's 4 albums released under his Gas moniker: Gas, Zauberberg, Königsforst and Pop (the latter 3 I already own).  Recently out on Kompakt was Gui Boratto's sophomore effort Take My Breath Away and labelmate The Field will likewise release his second full length in a couple of weeks entitled Yesterday And Today.

The Field - The More That I Do

Gui Boratto - No Turning Back

I saw on SBS last night that they are featuring some of the works of Jim Jarmusch this month, presumably because his new movie the Limits Of Control is out in the States.

Jarmusch's debut film released in 1980 inspired the name of label of the moment Permanent Vacation who have just put out a new compilation entitled "Selected Label Works #1", which features some of the below tracks.

Nothing like a long weekend to catch up on the blog world, and I saw on Modular that Canyons have now officially joined the ranks (no one saw that coming). What did catch my eye though was a side note mentioning they have a 12" coming out on DFA in July.

Also recently signed to DFA is UK artist Capracara, who along with the below track has just released a remix of Detachments latest single "Flowers That Fell" off their upcoming album on Thisisnotanexit Records, produced by Tim Goldsworthy, Andy Weatherall and Trevor Jackson.

Canyons - Blue Snakes

Capracara - King Of The Witches (Rub N Tug Remix)

Detachments - Flowers That Fell (Parallels Remix)

Ratatat are playing tonight at the Hi-Fi Bar in West End. I never really got into their first album and have been closeminded ever since. Should be a good show though, with support from Del Toro and Quan.

Ratatat - Shempi (Zongamin remix)

Saw The Twelves play this weekend. Wasn't really sure what to expect, I like them but didn't know if their electro style would keep me interested, but from what I heard their set was pumping from start to finish. Support came from Charlie Why! and a host of locals.

Metric - Help I'm Alive (The Twelves Remix)

Charlie Why! - Lips (Spruce Lee Inner Jungle Mix)

Well I've thought about the idea for some time but never really seriously. I guess I just wanted somewhere to streamline my own online interests into some orderly fashion.

Here's a Tom Moulton mix, just because he has the same initials as me.

Small Circle Of Friends (A Tom Moulton Mix)

I recommend the collection Soul Jazz put out a few years back.
